Job Opening: Lab Technician

Description:

Performance Chemical Company is in search of a candidate who has strong analytical skills and desire to learn, for their lab in Midland, TX. The Lab Technician will be responsible for testing oil field samples and reporting data in a timely manner. This opportunity will provide a young professional with the opportunity to obtain hands on laboratory experience with one of the Permian Basins premier specialty chemical companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and work with basic chemical laboratory equipment, supplies, and apparatuses to perform testing on oil field samples to include: produced water, crude oil, and various other types of samples that relate to chemical treating and monitoring of oilfield production.
  • Safely organize and maintain lab area and equipment.
  • Report results in a timely manner.
  • Assist Salesmen and technicians with lab supplied chemicals and testing equipment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Must possess hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Service Technician Account Representative: Monahans

Job Opening: Service Technician Account Representative Location: Monahans, TX.

Description:

Performance Chemical Company is in search of a candidate to join our Monahans District Team in Monahans, TX. Candidate should have strong mathematical skills and the desire to learn. A Service Technician will be responsible for field chemical inventory management, field testing, field sampling and support on all assigned accounts. A strong knowledge or the willingness to learn the mechanics of chemical pumping equipment is a must.  This position will provide the fortunate candidate an opportunity to obtain hands on experience with one of the Permian Basins premier specialty chemical companies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

❖ Field Inventory Management with emphasis on hitting targeted treatment goals.

❖ Gather produced water, crude oil, and various other types of samples that relate to chemical treating and monitoring of chemical treatment programs.

❖ Safely maintain chemical delivery systems through troubleshooting and repair as needed.

❖ Create and maintain inventory reports daily.

❖ Report inventory results in a timely manner.

❖ Assist assigned Account Managers with product selections and application.

❖ Assist Account Managers with new tank setups including pump setup and chemical injection setup.

Lab Assistant: Midland

Your role would involve providing support and assistance in the laboratory operations. You would work under the supervision of our lead chemist and laboratory manager to ensure smooth functioning of the lab and accurate execution of experiments.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  1. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  2. Help prepare materials and solutions required for experiments. Follow standard operating procedures and protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy in experiment preparation.
  3. Set up and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment as per the requirements of the experiments. Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  4. Assist in data collection during experiments, including recording observations, measurements, and experimental parameters. Input data into computer systems or databases accurately.
